How to find us?
You might have heard funny stories about how Costaricans (or "ticos") give directions. They are all true!!!
"Take the next left after the second mango tree", "one block after the old market and you find the red gate". So, we try to add as much details to help you out to find us. Anyway, in case of doubt, feel free to contact us at any time or ask anyone you meet in the street. We can also schedule a cab to pick you up at the bus station if needed.
Karandi Hostel is located (as you might guess!) in Calle La Curinga, 200 meters South from La Fiore de Bahia Hotel. You can also search for "Karandi Hostel" in Google Maps.

By Bus: TRACOPA runs daily from and to San José. Please make sure to take the bus either to Bahía Ballena or those making a stop in Uvita´s main station.
Leaving from San José at 6:00 am and 3:00 pm, there is a direct bus to Bahìa Ballena. Ask he driver to drop you at Fiore de Bahia`s bus stop. We are located just 200 meters away, towards the beach.

By Plane: SANSA Airlines flies daily to Quepos and Palmar Sur. Both are located approximately 45 minutes from Karandi. When booking a flight leaving "San José" please be aware that the SJO Airport is located in Alajuela instead (15 kms away). Pavas Airport is the one based in the Capital.
By Car: From San José or Alajuela, take Ruta 27 towards Jacó, then keep driving the Costanera Highway until reaching out Uvita. From there, the Hostel is 2 kms away.
This is the best way to optimize your days in Uvita. So, as an advise and if you have the chance to rent a car, do not hesitate and go for it.
Also, we strongly recommend to use Waze app to drive around Costa Rica.
